Position Title: Technical Specialist, Development Engineering
*Position Duties: *Accept responsibility for the most challenging EV assignments and projects for Development Engineers, utilizing specialized knowledge of the Marelli Group's proprietary processes and engineering procedures. Appraise engineering design, cost considerations, impact on manufacturing and customers, product safety, employee safety, environmental considerations, and regulatory issues as they relate to assigned projects. Oversee the technical direction of technicians, designers, and other engineers as assigned to their projects, and coach others in technical strengths unique to the Marelli Group's work orders and customers. Monitor new materials and technology in engineering fields of projects and provide reports to the engineering staff. Maintain Project Management Systems to accomplish successful engineering projects. Monitor project programs to achieve project goals and satisfy quality, cost, and delivery targets. Conduct value analysis and FMEA studies, with advice to PE team for PFMEA. Recommend and implement ideas for new products and new business opportunities. Examine designs for patentable features and prepare the necessary disclosures. Other duties as required.
Telecommuting permitted up to 60% of time. Domestic and International Travel required up to 5% of time.
