Description
Position Summary:
Join our client's team in a pivotal role, (accounts receivable administrator) supporting the Assistant Controller and Accounting department, with a primary emphasis on enhancing our client's accounts receivable processes. Your focus will be on streamlining invoicing, managing accounts receivable, and fostering effective communication with customers to ensure prompt payments and smooth financial operations.
Essential Functions:
Facilitate timely processing of daily bank deposits
Accurately handle credit card transactions and lockbox receipts
Conduct meticulous reconciliations of accounts receivable
Code, input, and match purchase ledger invoices accurately
Verify invoices and promptly record debit/credit memos
Perform thorough 3-way matching of invoices
Proactively communicate with customers via phone to address payment inquiries and resolve outstanding invoices
Collaborate closely with customers to facilitate timely payments and resolve any issues hindering order releases
Fulfill additional duties as assigned by management to contribute to team success
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ideal candidates will possess:
Comprehensive understanding of accounts receivable principles
Proficiency in accounts receivable processes, including billing and collections
Strong data management skills for efficient collection, analysis, and dissemination
Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
Outstanding customer relationship management abilities
Proven track record of building and maintaining long-term customer relationships
Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities
Attentive listening skills and proactive approach to customer inquiries
Self-motivation, enthusiasm, and high energy
Basic mathematical proficiency for accurate calculations
Unwavering integrity and strong work ethic
Consistent attendance and keen attention to detail
Flexibility and adaptability to meet evolving business needs
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or related financial role
Associate degree preferred, or equivalent relevant work experience
