Job Summary:** The Skilled Assembler is responsible for assembling products with precision and efficiency according to specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble components and sub-assemblies according to blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete assemblies.
  • Inspect parts and assemblies for quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Perform functional tests on finished products to ensure proper operation.
  • Identify and report any defective parts or equipment malfunctions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety and housekeeping policies.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Document work processes and complete production reports as required.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in assembly or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as an assembler in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting purposes.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects as required (up to [insert weight] pounds).
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices is a plus.

Work Environment:
