DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will be a vital part of our operations, carrying out a diverse range of clerical duties that directly influence the quality of services provided to the citizens of Pennsylvania. Your responsibilities will include following office policies and procedures, utilizing relevant systems, and interacting courteously and professionally with the public. Basic computer skills will be essential for handling various office functions such as data entry, customer service, scanning, imaging, filing, answering phones, and processing mail and voice mail. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 08:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Tuesday- Saturday, with a 60-minute lunch. Overtime and travel maybe required as operationally necessary. Work conditions: Employees will perform their assigned duties in an office setting. When necessary for operations, employees may be moved to different work sites in counties with District Offices. These relocations will comply with union contracts. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or Graduation from high school; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Other Requirements: Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Somerset County. If no eligible candidates who live within Somerset County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered. You must meet the PA residency requirement.
