Air National Guard Units GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST (Title 32) in Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Summary This National Guard position is for a General Supply Specialist, Position Description Number NGD1975000 and is part of 114 FW LRS. This is a permanent Title 32, Dual Status position. AREA(S) OF CONSIDERATION: - All members of the South Dakota Air National Guard or those eligible to join. Responsibilities As a General Supply Specialist, GS-2001-09, you will: This position is located in the Air National Guard, Mission Support Group, Logistics Readiness Squadron, Materiel Management Flight, Equipment Accountability Element of the Customer Support Section. The Equipment Accountability Element's primary purpose is to ensure accountability of in-use equipment and provide management control, oversight, coordination, and implementation of all equipment accounted for by the ANG Assistant USPFO/Accountable Officer. This position is the primary point of contact for wing/base/supported organizations equipment accountability. Serves as a technical advisor to the Wing Commander, staff, base personnel, state, and supported Geographically Separated Units (GSUs) regarding policy and procedure pertaining to equipment accountability. A broad knowledge of general supply, storage, distribution, and inventory/accountability specializations is required; in addition knowledge of Federal, State, and USAF accountability and report of survey rules and regulations to ensure regulatory compliance. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected individual must be assigned to a compatible military position in the following AFSC upon date of hire: 2S0X1 . Aptitude scores can be checked on the vMPF or at the Customer Service in the Force Support Squadron and physical profile in the medical squadron. Military grade inversion within the full-time work force is not permitted. The military grade of the full time supervisor must equal or exceed the military grade of personnel supervised. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training involving administration of supply management, storage, cataloging, packaging and distribution or other work which provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 24 months experience in the competencies/KSAs listed. Experience, education, or training dealing with cost estimates, budgets or funding management. Experience conducting extensive and exhaustive searches for required information; reconstruct records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for supply activities. Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities (KSAs): Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit a separate sheet(s) addressing the Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) and how they relate to work experience, education or training. Knowledge of supply regulations, policies, procedures, instructions, and the ESS program and how they relate to each other. Knowledge to prioritize work load to most effectively meet mission requirements. Skill in conducting extensive searches for required information for complex supply transactions. Knowledge to establish, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with MAJCOM, GLSC, supported organizations, and higher headquarters Knowledge to maintain accountability for a large number of assets and resolve discrepancies when they are identified. Skill to resolve conflicts and analyze processes and determine the course of action required to correct the situation.
