Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a motivated Account Manager to join our sales team in Singapore, focusing on the education and research segment. In this role, you will be responsible for driving AWS adoption and revenue growth among educational institutions and research organisations in Singapore

Key job responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of education and research clients in Singapore, ensuring their needs and expectations are met

  • Work closely with AWS sales, marketing, and technical teams to identify new business opportunities, drive revenue and develop strategies for account growth in the assigned accounts

  • Collaborate with partners to extend reach and drive AWS adoption in the education and research segment

  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline and accurately forecast sales projections

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field

  • 2-3 years of experience in technology sales, preferably in cloud computing or related services

  • Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies and their applications in education and research

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling to educational institutions or research organisations in Singapore

  • Knowledge of AWS services and their applications in education and research contexts

  • Understanding of procurement processes in Singapore's public sector

  • Track record of achieving sales targets in sales roles
