Citigroup FXPB Middle Office in Singapore, Singapore
The Securities & Derivative Analyst 1 is an entry level position responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to assist in the clearance, settlement and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.
Responsibilities:
Perform trade verifications to ensure accuracy of booking requests
Generate and match trade confirmations according to the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) templates
Complete settlement tasks and daily rate revaluations accurately and on time
Coordinate transaction processing issues to the appropriate department and collaborate on a solution
Perform regulatory controls, account reconciliations, and record retention activities in accordance with established policies
Prepare and submit periodic internal and external regulatory reports
Participate in the periodic General Ledger (GL) proofing exercises as directed
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
Relevant experience preferred
Fundamental understanding of Treasury products, accounting and regulatory policies
Proven ability to perform various concurrent activities/projects in a high-risk environment
Demonstrated knowledge of macros
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting or Finance

Our Operations groups are the core of all activity at the Firm and have significant impact across the lifecycle of a Trade. Our Digitization and Implementation group works alongside our Operations teams delivering automation solutions to solve for operational challenges. We partner with Citi’s innovation labs to drive optimization and overall play a pivotal role in enabling us to transform to achieve our target operating model.

Team/Function Overview:
The FCX Operations team of three areas; Futures, OTC clearing and FXPB.
This role falls within the FX Middle Office group providing a proactive service role to our clients and with our FX PB Client Executive team and FX Operations team.
As part of a global Middle Office team, you will be responsible for managing your client’s trade lifecycle Management as well as working with Citi teams for reconciliation and risk management.
The role will have extensive client interaction as well as opportunity to develop a deep understanding of FX products, internal systems, processes, and support teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide a proactive service role to our clients and a supporting role to the FX PB Client
Executive team in the daily processing, monitoring, and reconciliation of all FX transactions
Main point of contact for client / administrator operational inquiries
Monitoring of all FXPB clients related trading within the FXPB matching system
Participate in the reduction of erroneous errors
Help Optimize trading flows by seeking operational efficiency
Liaise with our FX Operations teams globally
Perform daily option expiry task
Processing of NDF fixes
Supporting and testing of system upgrades and provide solutions for tech related issues
Daily reconciliation for FX and Options breaks and P&L verification

Req Qualifications: Knowledge/Experience:
Client service experience or retail banking experience
Middle Office or Operations background a plus
Work experience in the Financial Services Industry is a benefit
Displays a well-developed ability to schedule work and understand relative priorities
Team oriented personality, thrives in a team environment and can also work independently
Skills:
• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
• Good Microsoft skills including Excel, Word and Outlook
• Computer literate and ability to grasp several in house systems quickly.
• Numerate
• Demonstrates sound judgement and professionalism in decision making/problem solving, escalating to supervisor as appropriate
Qualifications:
• GCE “A” Level standard or equivalent
• Good numeric skills
• Industry exams e.g. IAQ module exams or equiv.
