We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity in the Engineering industry based in Shoreview, Minnesota. This role primarily involves working as an Accounts Receivable Clerk in a collaborative environment, where you'll be handling invoicing and billing for various engineering projects. Your responsibilities will also extend to collections and working cross-functionally with different teams.

Responsibilities:

• Handle invoicing tasks, primarily focused on billing customers for revenue generated from engineering projects.

• Communicate effectively with project managers and other teams to ensure accurate billing of materials and services.

• Undertake collections duties, including following up on past due amounts primarily via email but also through phone calls when necessary.

• Demonstrate a firm approach when dealing with past due accounts to ensure timely payment.

• Contribute to month-end close procedures in collaboration with the entire team.

• Engage in occasional reporting tasks, depending on your skillset.

• Contribute to the assessment of team needs and help to streamline processes for efficiency.

Requirements

• Must have a degree in Accounting or a related field.

• Experience in the role of Accounts Receivable Clerk is preferred.

• Proficiency in invoice entry and data entry is required.

• Demonstrated ability to manage invoices.

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
