Universal Health Services REGISTERED NURSE (RN) - BEHAVIORAL HEALTH - PRN in SHERMAN, Texas

Responsibilities

PRN position in our Behavioral Health hospital in Sherman.

As a member of the mental health team, provides professional level of psychiatric/chemical dependency nursing care. The RN is responsible for the direction of assigned staff and effective utilization of the nursing process in patient care on the designated unit.

Texoma Medical Center, a 414-bed acute care facility has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) Job Requirements:

  • Education per RN licensure requirements. BSN preferred.

  • One year of nursing experience required

  • Current license in the State of Texas or compact. BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines must be completed during new hire orientation prior to working in a clinical setting. Handle with Care required with new hire orientation.

  • Must be able to identify and address the special needs of patients in the adult and geriatric age group. Must also be able to communicate effectively with the patient. Psychiatric/Chemical Dependency experience preferred
