Location: Sheridan, AR

Opportunity:

The hourly range for this position is $34.00-$39.00 hourly,. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Other duties may be assigned):

Summary:

Repair and maintain the computer-controlled systems and robotic devices used within the facility to reduce human intervention and maximize efficiency. Repairs to be troubleshot with necessary computer related software. Duties require expertise of electronics, mechanics, and computers. Technician IV’s are to perform routine checks on automated systems, monitor systems, isolate problems and perform repair. When problems occur, technicians are to determine if problem is electrical or mechanical from the computer system controlling the processor or schematics associated with equipment. Once issue is diagnosed, the technician must repair or replace any necessary components, such as sensors, cabling, valves, motors, or electrical wiring

Specific Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and correct problems by making mechanical adjustments and/or guiding others in those corrections.

Using Auto-Cad and inventor Software you must maintain, modify, and update drawings when changes are made within the Automation systems.

Train operators and other technicians when changes are made within the Automaton systems.

Ability to understand and use programmable logic controller (PLC) programming.

Knowledge of Allen Bradley hardware and software.

Ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and program Fanuc robots.

Ability to troubleshoot and maintain Ignition and AB HMI software.

Stay abreast of new technology by researching new and innovative ways to improve production processes.

Clearly communicate verbally and through written documentation any changes made to processes or equipment.

Engage operators, production, maintenance and quality personnel for improvements.

Minimum qualifications :

Five or more years experience in a plastics manufacturing environment with scientific molding processing knowledge required. Is a certificate Master Molder I from RJG. Lean manufacturing experience is preferable. Strong written and verbal communication skills and a continuous drive to improve and upgrade skills are required. Computer literate with Microsoft Office Suite.

Relationship and Contacts:

Supervisory Relationships:

Reports to Staff Engineer, Plastics Automation

Organization Relationships:

Frequent contact with Plastics Set-up personnel, Team Leaders, Quality, Engineering, and Materials Planning.

External Business Relationships:

Attend engineering and trade shows and seminars to investigate new products, processes and materials; and to improve engineering and product knowledge.

Has contact with outside sources to obtain cost, material, product and process information for new products and equipment. Be able to travel to test out new molds and equipment.

Has contact with consultants and engineers to obtain information desired for new or revised products, materials and processes.
