dsm-firmenich Financial Controller in Shanghai, China

Ensure the delivery and execution of the commercial/operation control support activities of the regional financial control organization as agreed in the service level agreements (SOP’s).Financial controller-Legal entity controllerEnsure the delivery and execution of the finance planning, actuals, closing and reporting activities for the assigned reporting units.Act as service receiver for “finance actuals and closing services” as supplied by FSS.

Your key responsibilities

  • Provides reports (incl agreed KPIs) for sales and margin, receivables related, mixing costs, FOOP, working capital and CAPEX;

  • Supports budgeting & forecasting of sales and operations, incl. manufacturing and M&S costs;

  • Executes the sanity checks on the figures, perform preliminary analysis on sales/margin/costs deviation and provide advices to the business controller (Commercial/Operations);

  • Managing and executeing of the closing activities On Time In Full (OTIF);

  • The legal entity controller has overall responsibility for the coordination, monitoring, reporting and analysis of the legal entity’s financial statements. To ensure this, the legal entity controller is responsible for implementing and supervising structured interactions with all relevant stakeholders: BG account manager, other financial control teams (CCS, OCS, TP), Financial Shared Services, internal and external auditors and when applicable: Lead Management Accountant and Business Partner

You bring

  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Accounting/Financial Controlling, and/or licensed certified public accountant;

  • 5 years experience in finance, FP&A or controlling related positions in manufacturing industry;

  • Excellent skill in MS Excel and Power Point; Experience with SAP and data analytical tools such as Power BI will be a plus;

  • Solid experience in financial modeling, variance analysis, forecasting and budgeting, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills;

  • Able to work independently and self-motivated; High learning agility, detail-oriented and well-organized way of working;

  • Demonstrate flexibility in managing multi-tasks with tight timeframe; strong ownership and able to work under pressure and get the work done;

  • Fluent English in both oral and written;

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; experience of working in a diversified culture/remote geography team will be a plus.
