TREE TOP INC QA Blending Specialist - Selah Plant in Selah, Washington
SUMMARY: To provide technical support to batch preparation, ensure conformance to formulas and specifications. Monitor batches conformance to formulas and specifications. Provide technical support to batch preparation, raw material handling and storage by working with QA employees, Processing, Packaging and Warehousing. Assist in improving product quality and consistency. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Include the following, other duties may be assigned. All of the following are to be performed while adhering to Tree Top operational policies, safety rules, procedures and good manufacturing practices. It is the responsibility of every employee at Tree Top Inc. to report food safety and food quality problems or risks to personnel with the authority to initiate action against these said possible risks. The Organization Chart identifies key personnel with the authority to take action. This is a representative sample--not to imply a complete listing of all responsibilities and tasks. Batch Preparation, co-pack products for blending, verify ingredients, distribute blend sheets to blending personnel. Ensure quality product, verify blend sheets match specification formula in correct quantities, verify batches conformance to formulas and specifications. Ensure proper handling and storage of ingredients, work with warehousing and blending to ensure ingredients are transferred, initiate corrective actions as needed. Inventory of ingredients. Provide technical support to Accounting, Supervisors and Blenders to address recovery issues. Maintain proper documentation, ensure blend sheets include necessary information, document problems and corrective actions. Assist or perform collection and analysis on variance ingredients, collect samples as needed. Knowledge of lab equipment, calibrate equipment as needed.
