TREE TOP INC Financial Analysis Accountant in Selah, Washington
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: The Financial Analysis Accountant is responsible for ensuring the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, reporting, and entering transactions. This position serves as the reporting analyst for the finance team and prepares routine and ad-hoc reports using various business intelligence tools. The position is responsible for the timely and accurate reporting of freight expense, fruit price variance, raw product handling, and supply price variance. This position serves as a business partner for the supply chain department by providing guidance on financial management, reporting, inventory control and various explanations. The Financial Data Analyst is expected to improve business processes and tools to enhance Tree Top productivity and customer service by gathering business requirements, identifying opportunities within the business structure, and implementing systematic improvements. In addition, the position assists in the preparation of the budget for freight expense, fruit price variance, raw product handling, and supply price variance. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: This position reports to the Sr. Financial Analyst and does not supervise staff. The position works closely with information services, accounting, sales and marketing, customer service, supply chain, and operations. QUALIFICATIONS FOR ENTRY: KNOWLEDGE OF: Understanding and working knowledge of GAAP Principles and practices of financial and manufacturing accounting. Principles and practices of financial forecasting and budgeting. Pertinent Federal, State, and local laws, codes, and regulations. ABILITY TO: Manage confidential and sensitive information. Participate on cross-functional project teams that investigate, analyze, and recommend process improvements. Maintain confidential and sensitive information. Identify, research, and analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, and project consequences of proposed actions. Accustomed to investigating to fully understand (a) how operational responses impact financial results and (b) how process flow effects the ability to mine relevant data. Make relevant recommendations in both instances. Effectively organize, plan, and execute. Use computers and computer software including ERP systems, Business Intelligence systems, SQL, and Excel to perform routine ad-hoc tasks. EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION/LICENSES, AND TRAINING: A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or 5 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. Concentration in Information Systems preferred. Preferred 3 years of relevant experience with exposure to financial accounting, analysis, and reporting. Experience working with and analyzing big data, has experience in efficiently organizing and compiling user-friendly reports. Experience working with ERP systems (Infor preferred but not required), advanced Excel skills, experience with business intelligent tools and/or SQL.
