Job Description:

This position works directly with Purchasing, Receiving, and Shop Floor personnel kitting and dispersing hardware for the organization as outlined in Bills of Material (BOM’s).

Shift: 2nd Shift – 2:00pm - Midnight Monday-Thursday (OT as required)

$3.00 Shift Premium for 2nd Shift!

REPORTS TO: Supply Chain Supervisor

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Follows safe manufacturing and material handling practices

  • Can follow written and verbal details to complete assignments or jobs

  • Understands and adheres to UAI employee handbook policies

  • Can record time accurately including “time and attendance” and “labor reporting” using the data collection system

  • Can accurately count and record production activity

  • Can identify hardware components on BOM’s used in assemblies and subassemblies

  • Can use a ruler, tape measure, or caliper to perform accurate measurements

  • Can compute, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, of fractions and decimals

  • Systematically issues and physically picks hardware to jobs

  • Helps staff check-out ‘kits’ and find parts as needed

  • Completes accurate and timely system transactions

  • Performs periodic cycle counts on hardware in the stockroom

  • Accountable for maintaining accurate inventory records

  • Prints foreman’s report and prioritizes jobs to pick

  • Puts new stockroom receipts into proper stockroom locations

  • Cross train in Receiving functions

  • Has the authority to stop production when nonconforming parts are detected

  • Has the ability to perform problem solving and troubleshooting

  • Responsible for counting, organizing and controlling all stockroom related inventory, including items located in defined zones outside of the stockroom

  • Physically and systematically picks and “kits” jobs for production a minimum of 3 days prior to the job’s scheduled start date

    WHAT YOU’LL BRING OR WE’D LIKE TO SEE:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required

  • Exposure to stockroom and cycle counting

  • The individual must possess a keen sense of attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills

  • Must possess a high degree of self-discipline and motivation

  • Must possess manual dexterity and keen hand/eye coordination

  • Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • This will be an onsite position in Seguin, Texas.

  • If selected for the role, a drug screen and physical will be conducted.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    Ability to perform in a manufacturing environment that may have high noise levels, dust, chemicals, oil, and grease. Ability to work in an environment that may be either hot, cold or humid.
