Maintenance Technician

Location: Sedalia, Missouri

This position performs facility and equipment preventive maintenance on schedule and according to specifications provided, with as little disruption to production as possible. Performs facility and equipment repairs as well, with the assistance of outside vendors or contractors as required, with management approval.

• Be able to successfully work with others in a positive, cooperative manner in a team-oriented environment to accomplish the company’s goals.

• Performs maintenance and repairs on equipment such as presses, folders, saddle stitchers, perfect binders, bindery equipment, punches, cutters, etc. that are not performed regularly by equipment operators or do not require outside vendor or contractor work.

• Works with management and departments to facilitate a teamwork approach in carrying out all maintenance and repairs.

• Performs maintenance and repairs in building areas such as plumbing, internal/external structural (carpentry, doors, etc.), and grounds within property area that do not require outside vendor or contractor work.

• Works with manager in staying attuned to technological changes/upgrades such as retrofitting equipment to meet revised OSHA or EPA standards. Maintain permits, safety and compliance records. Responsible for safety, MSDS sheets, DNR, OSHA and company regulations.

• Accurately documents all equipment maintenance and repairs

• Must be able to work in a fast paced, stressful environment.

• Be able to lift up to 50 lb.
