Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Systems Engineer II in Seattle, Washington. This role is primarily focused on the development and support of network fabric and systems through a deep level understanding of networking at the protocol level, coupled with programming skills to support the intensive automation required to operate a production environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the design, deployment, and operations of a large-scale global cloud computing environment.

• Participating in network lifecycle management through network build and/or upgrade projects.

• Collaborating with program/project managers to develop milestones and deliverables.

• Developing and safely executing network changes using existing procedures and tools.

• Serving as a technical lead for team projects and contributing to the development of roadmap issues.

• Leading the development of new runbooks and methods of procedures, mentoring entry level engineers.

• Participating in network solution and architecture design processes.

• Providing break-fix support for events and serving as an escalation point for event remediation.

• Leading post-event root cause analysis, coordinating with networking automation services for the development and integration of support tooling.

• Frequently developing scripts to automate routine tasks for the team and business unit.

• Collaborating with network vendor technical account team and internal Quality Assurance team to drive bug resolution and assist in the qualification of new firmware and/or operating systems. Requirements • Demonstrable experience in Operations and Procedures within a Systems Engineering role

• Proven ability in Design and understanding of About Time principles

• Proficiency in Internet technologies and Troubleshooting techniques

• Solid Networking skills, with a focus on Automation processes

• Practical knowledge of Python and Oracle platforms

• Familiarity with Cloud Technologies and their application in Systems Engineering

• Ability to Execute tasks efficiently and provide Quality Assurance

• Experience with Servers and Operating Systems management

• Understanding of Deliverable creation and Deployments in Systems Engineering

• Willingness to work Onsite and handle networking equipment like Switches

• Ability to work in a Business Unit and contribute to its goals

• Experience with Routers and Software Development processes

• Knowledge of Scale Out processes and ability to reach Milestones in a timely manner
