Amazon Sr. Technical Program Manager, Internal Audit Engineering in Seattle, Washington

Description

Join Internal Audit Engineering and help scale the process of delivering audits to the Board of Directors. You will work across a variety of stakeholders on a portfolio of internally developed services to design functionality, balance priorities, schedule, and work through technical constraints in order to help delight our customers. You are detail-driven, with a strong technical background and excellent problem-solving skills. You are comfortable briefing senior leadership, even when you have bad news. You can communicate effectively with business and technical teams both verbally and in writing.

Key job responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of two internal product development and support programs.

  • Single threaded owner and champion for our customers tasked with knowing, designing, and driving consensus on wants, needs, and priorities.

  • Apply robust technical judgment to optimize auditing workflows, judiciously scope requirements to identify high-value features, streamline processes, and increase efficiency.

  • Analyze service telemetry to identify and understand customer behavior and improve their experience.

  • Lead discussions and advise senior leaders (Sr Managers to VPs) across Amazon, acting as a force multiplier to influence system owners, architects, and decision-makers to promote security best practices and policies.

  • Deliver innovative solutions to strengthen Internal Audit’s capabilities and build prototype solutions.

  • Build KPIs that both guide our development efforts and showcase the value added through the programs.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

  • 3+ years of software development experience

  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
