Stripe, Inc. Software Engineer in Seattle, Washington
TITLE: Software Engineer EMPLOYER: Stripe, Inc. DUTIES: Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems across Stripes engineering teams using Ruby and Java. Build software infrastructure, including developing, testing, and deploying it. Design and develop software systems for the generation and processing of transfers and payments. Lead projects for designing components and systems for processing recurring payments. Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation. Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack. Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine the feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Work with engineers across the company to build new features at large-scale. Build new systems to securely store sensitive data; Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes. LOCATION: Seattle, WA (and various unanticipated work locations across the U.S.) REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Computer Science or related and 1 year of software development experience Position requires the following: 1 year of experience in working with Ruby or JVM-based languages; 1 year of experience in implementing industry standard design patterns; 1 year of experience in testing and deploying backend server software; and 1 year of experience with maintenance and bug-fixing of existing production systems.
