Are you excited to invent newer and simpler ways of building solutions leveraging AI/ML and automation? If yes, we have a challenging position in Amazon Finance Technology's GRC team for you.

Amazon Finance Technology's GRC team seeks a Software Development Engineer who can help create the next generation of distributed, scalable GRC systems. Our ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys the challenge of highly complex business contexts that are typically defined in real-time. We need someone to design and develop services that facilitate global GRC processes and provide holistic insights across the organization.

As a Software Development Engineer in the GRC team, you will solve various technical challenges and build highly scalable solutions to address unique problems for worldwide GRC teams. You will work on big data problems leveraging AWS services, design enterprise-scaled systems, develop and deploy highly scalable and reliable distributed services. You will tackle challenging, novel situations daily, leveraging AI/ML and automation to drive innovation in areas such as Integrated Risk Management (IRM), Automated Risk Management with AI/ML-Driven Assessment, Approval, and Mitigation, Global & Conversational Search UX for Holistic GRC Insights, Smart Editor, and more.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Jersey City, NJ, USA | Seattle, WA, USA

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $115,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
