Purpose of the Role The Senior Construction Manager provides strategic direction and comprehensive project management related to construction, ensuring the timely completion of projects within budget and in accordance with contractual obligations. This role involves planning and defining program goals, developing methods to achieve them, and fostering an in-depth understanding of customer objectives, contract terms, and corporate policies. The Senior Construction Manager plays a crucial role in bridging the transition to more sustainable energy sources while supporting current energy, chemical, and resource needs. Key Responsibilities - Lead and manage specialized, complex projects or multiple similar projects, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and customer objectives. - Develop and oversee detailed project plans, producing integrated solutions to strategic issues, and presenting recommendations to customers. - Utilize knowledge gained from past experiences and internal resources to devise innovative solutions and drive project success. - Troubleshoot and develop tactical plans to implement organizational goals, overseeing the design of new concepts and ideas. - Exercise broad knowledge of functional areas to effectively implement and lead organizational project change. - Communicate and present complex proposals and reports to senior management, persuading and influencing stakeholders to achieve project goals. - Foster a participative management style with a cooperative team approach, ensuring clear and effective communication across all project stakeholders. - Advance the understanding and application of systems, processes, and tools related to the field, assisting others and troubleshooting issues as needed. - Play a pivotal role in the development and enhancement of new systems, processes, and tools to drive project efficiency and innovation. #LI-JS4 - A university degree or equivalent in a related field or applicable discipline, or equivalent relevant experience. - Typically 15+ years of relevant experience, including supervisory, project management, and technical expertise. - Proven ability to troubleshoot and develop tactical plans, overseeing the design and implementation of new concepts and ideas. - Broad knowledge of functional areas and the capability to lead organizational project change effectively. - Strong decision-making skills, derived from interpreting and applying general information and consulting with others. - Experience in self-initiated interaction with supervisors and self-directed technical guidance, with the ability to influence duties and receive administrative direction based on project and organizational policies. - Direct and indirect supervisory experience, with authority over performance evaluations, staff selection, training, discipline, and remuneration. - Advanced communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex proposals and reports to senior management. - Proficiency in systems, processes, and tools related to the field, with the capability to assist others and troubleshoot issues. - Commitment to driving sustainable
