The UW Medical Center – Montlake Operating Rooms have an outstanding opportunity for a Program Operations Manager with Prosthesis/OR. WORK SCHEDULE • 40 hours per week • Day Shifts

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS: • Lead the UWMC Montlake Perioperative Services Implant Room in the facilitation, implementation, development, and management of processes to acquire and manage surgical products for Perioperative Services and to ensure revenue capture. • Collaborate with UW Medicine Supply Chain, UW Medicine Enterprise Revenue Cycle, and other UW Medicine campuses to oversee procurement operations, maintain budget, billing capture, manage vendors in alignment with enterprise standards and regulatory standards. • Contribute to the financial viability of the Hospital through the management of surgical supplies ensuring availability to complete surgical procedures

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provide leadership and direction for daily business operations of the Implant Room to ensure availability of implants, timely and accurate expense submission and revenue capture, and regulatory compliance. • Oversee implant coordinators, serve as a liaison for surgical services with supply chain, work directly with Operating Room leadership to lead the development, implementation, and management of systems and policy & procedures to support daily operations, procurement operations, and vendor management in alignment with enterprise standards. • Participate as a member of the Surgical Services leadership team in planning, policy formulation, and decision making. • Ensure efficiency in implementing all new products into various systems and collaborating with stakeholders. • Manage $5M of implant inventory to maximize efficiency. Analyze data and create reports to streamline inventory management. Support the maintenance of inventory control system (ensure accuracy of product line, proper level of stock, rotation of product, cleanliness of product/carts, accuracy of inventory charging and timeliness of product returns post procedure). Oversee annual inventory in collaboration with Accounting and Supply Chain. • Collaborate with Supply Chain to ensure contract compliance, cost control, and cost savings. Review contracts, submit revisions to Supply Chain Management based on review of volumes, financial impacts, and relevance to core business/mission. Possess proficient knowledge of contracts for Perioperative Services. • Support the effort in meeting fiscal budgets and financial consignment targets, and to identify cost savings opportunities for materials. • Collaborate with Perioperative Services leadership to develop, implement, and maintain systems and processes to improve operational efficiency, reduce operating cost, avoid wastes, and fulfill regulatory compliance.

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics or Healthcare Field • Equivalent experience can substitute for education • 2-3 years of experience in operating Room operations, implant devices, medical instruments, regulatory policies & procedures, revenue capture, purchasing, contracting, inventory management, or other related areas, including experience with purchasing software such as Workday.
