The Salvation Army is seeking a Housing Navigator to provides immediate, tailored assistance to address housing crises. This role works with individuals to connect them to community resources for ongoing housing stability. The clients served may include homeless adults with disabilities that affect self-sufficiency. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Offers intensive housing assistance, including comprehensive assessments, case management, and referrals to help adults create and pursue housing plans. Provides direct service in complex situations. Offers expert case management for clients with various barriers to self-sufficiency. Assists with post-housing case management, including employability, job readiness, and vocational training. Coordinates services with agencies like Mental Health and Employment Security. Refers clients to community resources and collaborates with other agencies. Attends staff and interagency meetings as required. Maintains client records and required reports. Prepares necessary correspondence. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor in Social Work or related field and/or equivalent experience 3 years of related social services experience preferred Knowledge of trauma-informed care and community cooperation in congregate living environments preferred Proficiency in HMIS data management preferred The information in this job description indicates the general nature and level of work performed by an employee in this classification. Parental Leave: The benefit is 40 hours of Paid Leave for qualifying events. Sick Leave: 12 days of Sick Leave annually accruing from day one, eligible for use after three months' service time. Paid Vacation: Two weeks annually, accruing from day one, for non-exempt positions. Four weeks annually, accruing from day one, for exempt positions. Accrued vacation is eligible for use after six months' service time. Paid Holidays: 13
