Blue Origin LLC (Early Career) - Tube Shop Technician I (Weeknight Shift) in Seattle, Washington

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will be responsible for the cutting and preparing raw tube material prior to being fabricated into tube assemblies for space launch vehicles. Using saws, deburr tooling, mechanical honing equipment, ultrasonic cleaning tanks and borescope inspection equipment, you'll prepare and inspect these tubes for quality conformance. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight. Special Mentions Relocation provided Shifts available: B shift (3:00PM-1:30AM) Shift Incentive: For every hour a non-exempt (aka hourly) employee works on Second Shift they will automatically be given a $1.50 shift differential on top of their base wage Interviews will include a technical assessment Multiple positions available Responsibilities: Properly Identify raw material required for job Cut, prep, process and inspect tubing Review and follow work instructions Safely work with hazardous systems, containing chemicals and/or high pressure Qualifications: Familiarity with different types of Metal Alloys Ability to use standard mechanical tools, fabrication shop equipment (band saw, chop saw, grinders, drills, etc.) Capable of using precision tools to accurately measure tight tolerances (calipers, height gauge, scales, etc.) Ability to read and understand aerospace 2D/3D drawings Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion. Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Must be physically able to: Climb ladders and stairs, and work in small, restricted areas Lift and carry 25 lbs. Desired: 1+ years' experience in aerospace related fields 1+ years' experience with setting-up, developing and manufacturing tube assemblies from start to finish Knowledge of CNC bending Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around flight critical hardware Knowledge of drawing review, scheduling systems, work order systems, inventory and various issue tracking systems Ability to use of 3D CAD tools (CREO is preferred), and ability to read and interpret GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994 standard Experience cleaning tube systems to aerospace or medical standards Compensation range for on site WA applicants is $24.01-$33.62 Other site ranges may differ Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the requisition is closed.
