Blue engines are an essential element to achieving this vision. As part of a passionate and growing team of experts in the Engines Business Unit, you will be responsible for providing both technical and programmatic leadership of the In-Space product development team. Our engines products are being developed to support affordable, low-cost access to space. This role will manage the overall budget, schedule, and technical rigor required for development and production, manage upgrades/ improvements, ensure qualification for flight and support our commercial operations. With continued growth in the business unit, you will be expected to help manage business operating change; providing mentoring to less senior program managers and Integrated Product Team (IPT) leads; and work as an integral part of the BU to support growth to the future organization. The Engines Business Unit provides propulsion for Blue Origin vehicle programs along with external customer launch vehicles. As part of the team, you will contribute directly and significantly to the team's impact on the future of human space exploration. Responsibilities: Lead the team that supports the overall life cycle of In-Space products from development through qualification, vehicle integration, production, and flight support. As part of the Engines Business Unit, will provide oversight; mentoring; support development of staffing plans; and communication within In-Space specific programs or the business unit. Lead and participate in critical program decision boards; corrective action boards; and risk boards as needed. Support collaborative efforts with all Blue business units to ensure optimum system solutions are achieved. Participate in strategic planning including requirements for support personnel demand, engine demand; test capabilities; and specific near term and out year needs. Program planning & execution of assigned scope including scope definition, scheduling, resource planning & allocation and delivery of scope within budget and schedule constraints ensuring priority to quality and safety. Qualifications: Passion for Blue Origin's mission: Millions of people living and working in space to benefit earth! B.S. in Engineering required with 20 years' development/production experience or an equivalent 20 years specific rocket engine experience. Demonstrated programmatic leadership experience. Excellent written, communication and presentation skills. Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to lead. Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Ability to earn trust, maintain positive an
