Starbucks Coffee Company Decision Scientist Senior in Seattle, Washington
Decision Scientist Senior:
Guide business decisions through discovering and sharing insights that deliver stakeholder outcomes and translate research into usable data products and sustainable solutions leveraged for proactive business application. Perform exploratory data analysis, including extraction, cleaning, aggregating, and interpreting data from various databases. Discover, measure, and optimize, providing data-driven recommendations and solutions to business challenges. Assess and produces relevant, standard, or custom information (reports, charts, graphs and tables) from structured data sources by querying data repositories and generating the associated information. Procure and manipulate large-scale, complex data from a variety of systems. Provide analytic validation and application of data transformations, algorithms, etc. to accurately represent the model and rule intent and promote recommendations into business processes. Drive analytics refresh exercise and rule tuning process as they pertain to KPIs. Perform statistical analysis and modeling, including descriptive and predictive analysis and dashboard building. Telecommuting permitted up to 100% from anywhere in the U.S.
Full time employment, Monday -- Friday, 40 hours per week. Pay Range: $166,720 - $211,600 per year.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related field, plus 3 years of experience in a data science or related role.
Must have 2 years of experience in working in an environment that required research and observation of data privacy protection laws and regulations regarding sensitive data or trade secrets;
Must have 2 years of experience in Measuring, interpreting, and making strategic recommendations based on product performance in consumer-packaged goods (CPG), e-Commerce products, or quick-service restaurant (QSR) items;
Must have 2 years of experience in Using SQL or SAS to build complex queries against large data sets;
Must have 2 years of experience in Using Python or R to perform statistical analyses on large data sets;
Must have 2 years of experience in Reporting or interpreting business results, and visualizing the business results in visualization tools;
Must have 2 years of experience in Working in a collaborative programming environment, conducting code reviews, and observing coding standards.
