Wehave partnered with our client on their search for an Accounting Manager to oversee their accounting operations within the fast-paced technology industry. This role will lead a team of six accounting professionals, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and the smooth execution of accounting processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and innovative environment. Key Responsibilities 1 Leadership & Team Management * Lead, mentor, and develop a team of six accounting professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. * Set performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and provide constructive feedback. * Delegate responsibilities effectively to ensure team efficiency and productivity. * Financial Reporting & Analysis * Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports. * Analyze financial results to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. * Collaborate with leadership to provide insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making. * Accounting Operations * Manage the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with deadlines. * Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions. * Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS (if applicable), and internal company policies. * Compliance & Audit * Maintain compliance with tax regulations, including sales tax, VAT, and corporate tax filings. * Coordinate with external auditors during financial and operational audits, ensuring timely and accurate documentation. * Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity. * Process Improvement & Technology Integration * Evaluate and enhance accounting processes and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy. * Lead initiatives to automate and streamline workflows, leveraging technology to optimize performance. * Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in accounting and financial management. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA designation preferred. * 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role. * Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting best practices. * Experience in the technology industry is highly desirable. * Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Excel skills. * Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills * Familiarity with SaaS revenue recognition (ASC 606) and other technology-specific accounting standards. * Experience implementing or optimizing ERP systems. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
