Xerox Business Solutions in the UK is now hiring for a Solutions Architect who will assist a team of solution architects in generating customer proposals, quotes, deal registrations, cost analysis, interfacing with vendor partners, and inputting data into our CRM system, as well as collaborating with our marketing team. The candidate will be able to enjoy a work-from-home environment with the opportunity for growth in solutions architecture.
The Solution Architect will undertake a dual role, acting as the focal point for technology roadmap and solution design work on key clients in that area, alongside supporting the UK Subject Lead for networking in the design and presentation of network-oriented solutions to major UK clients. Candidate must be able to commute to at least one of the offices, located in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Responsibilities:
Account Support: Support the development of client account plans through creation and maintenance of technology and service roadmaps, or contribution towards those.
Bid/Sales Support: Supports the presales phase of deal pursuit. Assists with the preparation and delivery of service contract proposals, bids and tenders.
Design Authority: Takes responsibility for all components input to design as well as to qualification and business approval meetings. Shapes and architects services proposals working with partner(s) where relevant
Cost and Risk: Defines the approach to service design, controlling scope and the work of the service design team in order to ensure an acceptable cost structure. Able to articulate the entire service to a client or partner on a technical and business level, clearly identifying benefits and risks.
Requirements and Design: Designs innovative services, and where required can manage the work of different specialists including partners and third parties - contributing to the design and implementation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Passion for relationship building with strong negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to work independently
Creative and solution-seeking with natural curiosity and passion for personal and professional growth
2+ years’ experience in IT service or sales; infrastructure and service-related
Requires a good knowledge of common IT technologies associated with the Microsoft environment and associated third-party products and services, an in-depth knowledge of a technology specialism is a bonus
As well as a general grounding in all aspects of IT, the successful candidate must have a solid basic knowledge of Networking, including:
Understanding of Networking principles and protocols
Understanding of providing solutions for Campus, Branch and Data Centre centric models.
Associate level HPe Aruba certification (or equivalent) - ACA
Attained or working towards Professional Level HPe Aruba certification (ACP)
