Here's more about this this specific position: We Are Seeking A high-energy, positive thinker 1 year previous custodial experience preferred. Our Federal government contracts require that 75% of our workforce have a documented disability. A candidate for Janitorial crew may be disqualified if they have a criminal record for illegal drug use or sale, financial fraud, identity theft, physical abuse, crimes involving violence and/or theft. This AbilityOne program qualifies for the Schriever SFB transportation per diem benefit based on average miles from home to work. In This Role You Will: Work with a team Sweep and mop floors Clean buildings by emptying trash, sweeping, and cleaning surfaces Clean and disinfect Vacuuming/Shampoo clean carpets Use cleaning solutions to remove stains and clean surfaces Mix various cleaning agents Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees Dust furniture and scrub surfaces clean Apply wax to coat floors and buff Stripping and top scrubbing floors Clean and service restrooms with mops and disinfectants May move heavy items such as furniture Identify and report possible repairs Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hou s Help provide a safe working environment for you, customers and fellow employees Keys to Success To excel in this role, you must conduct yourself in a professional manner conducive to a product work environment, demonstrate good judgment, show yourself to be responsible and show initiative.
