How will you make a difference?

We are looking for an absolutely reliable personality as our new Operations Manager (a) 100% with a high motivation to work in the railway industry and the know-how to cover the business development as part of the local management team, to handle the operational activities and to take over the team leadership of our local operations team.

What do we want to know about you?

  • You have a Master's or Bachelor's degree in engineering or industrial engineering or operations, ideally with additional Six Sigma certification

  • You have relevant experience in managing operational organizations with a focus on production and manufacturing processes, preferably in the railway industry or similar

  • You have successfully introduced lean processes in the past

  • You have already gained experience in leading a production organization based on KPIs in combination with a deep technical understanding of the product portfolio and project-based manufacturing

  • You are a strong leader with a focus on employee development

  • Excellent communication skills across all hierarchical levels of an internal matrix structure characterize you

  • Experienced handling of ERP systems and good Office applications are a prerequisite

  • Systematic and solution-orientated way of working, high process orientation

  • Flexible and decisive leader with a natural demeanor and strong interpersonal skills

  • Mandatory fluent written and spoken English and German round off your profile, any other languages are a plus

What will your typical day look like?

  • Being part of the local site management team and co-responsible for the site business together with the Managing Director

  • Further development of industrialization and production processes and driving forward lean management

  • Implementation of operational targets and key figures in the above-mentioned areas

  • Leading function (technical and disciplinary) for the supply chain department, the production and the quality department and their managers

  • Ensuring that the production plan targets are achieved in accordance with established production and safety procedures

  • Further development of operational cooperation with the international sister companies

  • Promoting and developing leadership skills within the entire operations organization

  • Improving the interfaces to the other departments in terms of continuous product quality development

  • On-time coordination of the entire supply chain from procurement to delivery to the customer

  • Monitoring and ensuring the achievement of targets through key performance indicators
