The Interiors Division of Collins Aerospace, an RTX business, is looking for an EHS, Facilities, & Security Manager for its Savannah, GA location! The successful candidate be able to work autonomously with little direct oversight to accomplish work tasks.

This role acts as a partner by formulating and administering plans & procedures, providing Program Management, and coordinating with business partners for EFS concerns regarding facilities and employee practices. Other responsibilities include organizing and maintaining EHS policies to achieve and maintain compliance with regulations and will manage relationships across other functions and departments to achieve and maintain compliance with EHS regulations and RTX requirements.

This is an onsite role in Savannah, GA.

What You Will Do:

Primary EHS Responsibilities:

  • Has responsibility for multiple EHS programs and specialties at the site

  • Collaborates with Operations and other Site Leadership to integrate EHS performance into site business activities

  • Develop the site EHS Annual Plan in partnership with site leadership to drive the strategy of the EHS function at the site, including a tactical plan to achieve results

  • Organize, maintain, & communicate EHS policies to ensure compliance with Legal, RTX, & Collins rules and regulations

  • Support the programs, processes, and procedures to improve the EHS culture for employees and contractors

  • Drives all EHS regulatory reporting requirements. Responsible for appropriate procedures, approvals, coordination and control of EHS Regulations applicable to the site

  • Support the investigation, root cause determination, and development of corrective actions for incidents, both injury and environmental

  • Use the EHS Smart reporting system to maintain EHS information

  • Support the completion of audits & inspections and present findings at to the site EHS Management Committee

  • Coordinates with business partners for EHS the concerns regarding facilities and employee practices

  • Perform various tasks associated with Safety, Health, Environment, Compliance, and Management Systems

  • Facilitate the development and completion of activities of various EHS subcommittees

  • Support the development of a positive EHS culture

  • May be asked to be flexible to take on additional assignments/rotations to support other EHS programs

    Primary Facilities Responsibilities:

  • Manage Contractors to ensure timely, quality, safe, and compliant completion of work, while staying on budget

  • Facilitate job risk assessment (JHA) and Management of Change (MOC) processes to ensure risks are understood and controlled prior to completing work

  • Assist in the implementation of sites Electronic Preventive Maintenance platform

  • Ensure site machinery & building envelope are maintained in top working order

    Primary Security Responsibilities:

  • Ability to understand, implement and managed core security programs

  • Access control, badging, security procedures, security of assets, people, property

  • Ability to support and influence leadership in relation to security programs, needs, risks, and threat

  • Partner with SBU, BU and RTX security leaders for support and program requirements

  • Develop and conduct appropriate cadence of security risk assessment, employee training and awareness, security system management. And security program review to establish and maintain the appropriate security culture and compliance with security programs and requirements.

    Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.

  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62

    Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, CHMM, etc.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA, AIHA, EPA, and DOT requirements

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing work setting

  • · Intermediate computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)

  • Influencing and negotiating skills

  • Security program management at the site level (1-5 years)

  • Security, or general, program implementation, management, and sustainability (3-5 years)

  • Ability to drive implementation of security programs to secure the site and support the business (1-3 years)

  • Project management experience

  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams

  • Understanding of Federal / State/ and local regulatory requirements

  • Strong mechanical skills

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
