The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our production facility, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality. Coordinate and lead the production team, implementing best practices, and driving continuous improvement initiatives through effective communication, monitoring, coaching and evaluating results.

Responsibilities:

  • Safety Compliance:

  • Uphold and enforce strict safety protocols and procedures to create a secure working environment.

  • Participate in accident investigations, safety audit and corrective actions.

  • Team Leadership:

  • Lead and supervise a team of production workers, providing guidance, coaching, support, training and development.

  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, engagement, and a strong sense of accountability.

  • Enforces company guidelines, policies and procedures.

  • Handle employee relations, timekeeping and performance feedback including reviews.

  • Successfully collaborates with Engineering and Warranty Departments to conduct integrated builds/repairs.

  • Communication:

  • Maintain open and effective communication channels with team members, management, and other departments to ensure employees are engaged and informed.

  • Report regularly on production progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Quality Control:

  • Implement and enforce quality control processes to maintain high production standards.

  • Investigate and address any deviations from quality specifications, working closely with the quality assurance team.

  • Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains, working with cross-functional teams to implement changes.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls.

  • Inventory Management:

  • Oversee inventory levels and coordinate with supply chain management to ensure an uninterrupted flow of materials.

  • Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.

  • 2-5 years’ experience in manufacturing operations.

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Leadership role in a production environment.

  • OSHA 10-hour card or completed within 90 days of hire.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production scheduling including Lean principals.

  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.

  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.

  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Must be able to read and write English.

  • Computer skills in Microsoft Suite

  • General knowledge of boat building and/or assembly in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
