Robert Half Accountant in Santa Clara, California

Description We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accountant in Santa Clara, California. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity within our dynamic telecom provider industry. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting the Senior HR Manager, assisting with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, and handling various HR projects.

Responsibilities:

• Provide backup support for Accounts Receivable, including invoicing and processing payments

• Provide backup support for Accounts Payable, including entering invoices and generating checks

• Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records

• Assist with creating and editing HR documents and manage training in Qualityze

• Perform tasks related to new hire onboarding such as maintaining documents, sending applications, and orientation

• Assist with payroll-related tasks and post job ads while communicating with contract agencies

• Assist with audit requests and event planning, and manage the training portal in SharePoint

• Assist with researching salary ranges and manage laptop inventory

• Create and manage organizational chart in Visio, and go to the office once a week to retrieve mail and scan checks and invoices

• Coordinate office supply needs with the purchasing department and manage various projects as needed.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Knowledge of ERP Solutions and Great Plains (GPAC)

• Understanding of Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Auditing and Budget Processes. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions

• Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC)

• Understanding of various Accounting Functions

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Ability to perform Auditing tasks

• Knowledge and experience in Budget Processes

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation

• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
