Job Summary

This role oversees the electrical engineering department, directing activities to align with company objectives.

Leadership and Management Responsibilities

  • Recruitment and Retention:

  • Manage recruitment, hiring, and retention processes.

  • Work with recruiters to set criteria for candidate selection.

  • Analyze and improve team turnover rates.

  • Employee and Team Development:

  • Assess and enhance individual and team skills and development needs.

  • Develop and oversee training programs.

  • Mentor staff and manage succession planning.

  • Performance Management:

  • Define clear, measurable goals and objectives for team performance.

  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and manage rewards and recognition.

  • Communication:

  • Foster a communicative environment to exchange ideas and information.

  • Adapt communication strategies to fit team dynamics and needs.

Functional Management Responsibilities

  • Business Strategy and Direction:

  • Understand and contribute to the strategic direction of the department and its integration with business goals.

  • Regularly update leadership on strategy execution.

  • Cost Management:

  • Develop strategies to reduce costs through process and system efficiencies.

  • Monitor and report on cost trends to improve value.

  • Forecast Development and Accuracy:

  • Prepare and analyze forecasts to assess departmental performance and trends.

Technical Management Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design and development of new products and processes.

  • Manage key projects, ensuring goals, budgets, and timelines are met.

  • Develop and implement department policies and procedures.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and integrate new technologies and methods.

  • Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols.

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in managing multiple projects and leading teams.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
