General Description

Niagara County Community College has a need for a part time Instructor to teach various courses in the Chemistry Department, including general and organic chemistry lectures and labs.

Classes are held on the main campus located in Sanborn, NY.

Remuneration for persons teaching at least 3 credits in a semester: $884 per lecture hour/$792 per lab hour.

In order to build and maintain an active pool of qualified candidates to meet our present and future needs for this position, Niagara County Community College will accept applications on a continuous basis. Ability to work with, and teach a diverse student population. Ability to speak in front of groups of people. Must be able to effectively communicate with students, co-workers, supervisors and the campus community. Must be able to develop, prepare and present information. Must able to operate computers. Must be able to physically perform the duties of the position.

Required Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Chemistry or related field or Bachelor’s Degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Chemistry or related field is required.

Desirable Qualifications

Doctorate degree in Chemistry or related field; two years teaching at the community college level.
