  The Infusion Nurse SLO County at BrightStar Care of San Luis Obispo plays a critical role in providing compassionate and top-notch nursing care to patients in the infusion therapy setting. As an integral member of our healthcare team, you will have the opportunity to utilize your exceptional nursing skills and expertise to administer intravenous IVIG therapies to patients of all ages. Your dedication and attention to detail will ensure the safe and effective delivery of treatments, while providing comfort and support to patients and their families. This is a PRN position.  A great add on position to your  full-time job.  Also perfect for Retired Nurses who still want to give back and maintain their clinicals and licensure. Responsibilities: As an Infusion Nurse SLO County, your day-to-day responsibilities will include: * * Performing assessments and administering intravenous therapies to patients as prescribed, ensuring accurate dosages and proper techniques. * Monitoring patients throughout the infusion process, closely observing for any adverse reactions or changes in condition, and taking appropriate actions. * Maintaining complete and accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and observations. * Collaborating with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care. * Providing education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment procedures, medication management, and potential side effects. * Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe and compliant healthcare environment. Requirements: In order to excel in this role, you must meet the following requirements: * Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California. * Minimum of two years of experience in infusion therapy, preferably in a home healthcare or outpatient setting. * Demonstrated proficiency in intravenous therapy and knowledge of various infusion devices and equipment. * Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills. * Ability to work independently and autonomously, while also being an effective team player. * Strong attention to detail, with the ability to effectively manage time and prioritize workflow.
