The PBM Operations & Services team is the heart of Abarca and meets that standard by providing services from MTM, price eligibility, configurations, and beneficiary services to government services and beyond. Within this division, our Product Quality team is responsible for testing and validating business requirements in technical solutions to consider the solution as acceptable from the user-level perspective.As the Manager of Product Quality and Support, you will be a leader of quality and the advocate of the end user. You’ll be leading a team responsible for the coordination and execution of user acceptance testing activities for our adjudication systems and other key products and services at Abarca. This includes monitoring overall performance and managing the development, coordination, and administration of the Product Quality and Support team, including setting, reviewing, and measuring quality standards, documentation standards, processes, and procedures. The Manager of Product Quality provides leadership and guidance for the department, works to improve core processes, and manages projects. They will accept ownership to ensure staff is developed in all quality assurance functions. They will work to develop a clear understanding of the business and technical aspects of the quality assurance function to support the entire organization.The fundamentals for the job…As a leader, you will conduct performance reviews, work progression reviews, quarterly and semiannual check-ins, performance metrics review and staff meetings to guide performance management and employee development efforts and direct them toward departmental goals, including quality and process improvement efforts.Manage the day-to-day activities of the Product Quality & Support team, providing guidance, mentoring, and test case execution support.Research ways to limit production deployment errors.Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data.Work according to deadlines for the delivery of products (two-week sprint cycle).Provide tier two support to the RxEngine adjudication Product team in reviewing and providing thorough responses to claims functionality questions.Actively participates as a member of the scrum leadership team, attending ceremonies including planning and strategic meetings to drive Adjudication Engine UAT processes earlier in the SDLC to improve overall product quality.You and your team will actively participate in team discussions, brainstorming sessions, design workshops, release reviews, and sprint retrospections.Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts for the RxEngine adjudication system and core products through close collaboration with Scrum team and Software End-Users, including final client, to understand Business and Client’s needs to define and execute user acceptance test cases that guarantee the highest level of quality for our products.Develop and plan UAT activities including assessing team workload, forecasting upcoming needs, coordinating deployments, and ensuring plans are accurate, reliable, and comprehensive.Assist the team with validating user acceptance testing through demonstration of the executed test scenarios and results, achieving sign off and approval of results from business requestors, client, and Product owners.Design and enforce documentation of user acceptance tests results to ensure the documented requirements, benefit designs and regulatory and business needs are being met.Collaborate in the development of new logic and procedures to improve processes in your areas of responsibilities.Identify gaps in the adjudication and testing systems to propose process, tools, and environmental improvements to avoid future gaps.Define, maintain, and improve related policies and procedures to ensure that the department operates effectively and reliably. What we expect of youThe bold requirements…Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in health care or business, in a related role. (In lieu of a degree, equivalent relevant experience may be considered.)10+ years of experience leading test teams, especially in areas related to pharmacy claim adjudication.Experience within Healthcare, Pharmacy Benefit Management, and/or Insurance industries.Experience with software testing or other quality practices, including proven knowledge of quality-driven concepts like test case development, test case execution, and all possible test layers like functional, regression, unit, and integration Testing.Familiarity with NCPDP Telecommunication Standard vD.0, including B1/B2 transactions, formatting, etc.Excellent oral and written communication skills.We are proud to offer a flexible hybrid work model which will require certain on-site work days (Puerto Rico Location Only).
