FirstService Residential Loading Dock Associate in San Francisco, California

The Loading Dock Associate assumes responsibility for the receiving area and freight elevator; including maintaining area safety, orderliness and cleanliness, and enforces all rules and regulations of the Association and FirstService Residential.

Compensation: $20-23/hr

Â

FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Your Responsibilities:

Â

  • Monitors the receiving area • Schedules freight elevator for residents moving in and out advance adhering to Association Policy. • Registers all delivers and packages (i.e. Fed Ex, UPS, DHL, registered mail).
  • Reports all problems to the Loading Dock Supervisor, including problems outside of scope of responsibility.
  • Issues parking passes to all approved vehicles
  • Registers and distributes ID passes to all contractors.
  • Monitors the coming and going of service contractors and building repair and maintenance contractors through logs.
  • Ensures all safety precautions are followed while performing work.
  • Maintains a safe work area.
  • Clean Loading dock.
  • Other duties as required. Additional Duties & Responsibilities
  • Practice and adhere to FirstService Residential Global Service Standards.
  • Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct. • Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules. Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies.
  • May participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing the work.
  • Follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management.
  • Perform any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned.

  • Proficient in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Strong ethical practices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong internal/external customer relation skills required with ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, associates, members and other stakeholders.
  • Excellent general math skills.
  • Experience working with inside and outside environmental elements (noise, weather, etc.).
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task, implement, and monitor progress for successful completion.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment meeting deadlines.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years experience in receiving or warehouse environment. 3-5 years
  • 1-3 years customer service experience.

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to lift, push and move equipment and furniture.
  • Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Talking and listening occur continuously in the process of communicating with clients, guests, supervisors, associates, and vendors.
  • Must be able to communicate both on the phone and in person in order to resolve issues related to the business.
  • Must have finger dexterity for typing/using a keyboard.
  • Must be mobile enough to move around the office and during outside events; including walking on uneven surfaces and standing for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work with inside and outside environmental elements (noise, weather, etc.).
  • Must be able to bend, climb, stoop, crawl, twist, walk and use their extremities including wrists and fingers.

  • Office equipment; computers, printers, fax machine, etc.
  • Walkie-Talkie · Knowledge and experience with the various tools, material and equipment required for this maintenance and engineering discipline.
