Scripps is looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner to support our Cardiology inpatient department at Scripps Mercy San Diego, ranked #1 in San Diego by US News and World Report.
The Nurse Practitioner will provide clinician expertise while rounding with Cardiac procedural patients, ranging from approximately 10-15 patients per day.
· The ideal candidate will have a Cardiology, Cath Lab background, be self-directed and able to work independently.
· Having previous experience with the following structural heart procedures such as TAVR, Watchmans and MitraClip is also preferred.

Required Experience/Specialized Skills:
· Minimum one year experience within a Cath Lab or Cardiology environment. Current California RN License.
· Nurse Practitioner credential required.
· Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.
· ACLS (AHA)
· Maintains medical staff credentialing as an allied health professional.
Preferred Certification/Education/Skills:
· NP in area of Cardiology is preferred.
· Ability to speak Spanish is recommended.
· 2 years’ experience in the APN role
· TNCC and/or ATCN and CNS
· 3-5 years’ experience in specialty area
