Job Description Summary

The Global Integrated Engineering (GIE) program manager is responsible to provide leadership and guidance to one or multiple project teams and has overall responsibility for the end-to-end management of GIE projects for the business within the Medical Segment. The program manager drives project performance by ensuring the schedule, scope, and resources are in place to meet program goals while involving the necessary project and program leaders, team members and key stakeholders to succeed.

This role will also be responsible to ensure the project strategy and goals are being executed by each team within GIE through collaboration, teamwork and results driven decision making to ensure phase gate deliverables are achieved and a successful project completion

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for and manages programs and/or large-scale projects from end-to-end, to increase harmonization and effective governance, resources, funding (CAPEX, OPEX) and on time completion.

  • Project types: Capacity, sustaining, compliance, safety, digitalization, architecture, NPD, CTW (Change to Win), crisis, retrofit, and facilities.

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, budgets resource allocation, to ensure successful integration of NPD and CAPEX initiatives.

  • Identify and close pending activities before gate reviews for prompt/efficient completion.

  • Manage and responsible for project stakeholders, ensuring effective communication/ collaboration throughout project lifecycle.

  • Lead collaboration among multi-functional teams (i.e., engineering, finance, manufacturing, procurement) to ensure seamless integration NPD/CAPEX initiatives.

  • Responsible for, identify, and mitigate potential project risks (i.e., cost overruns/schedule delays/technical challenges) to ensure successful outcomes.

  • Accountable, control, and monitor and control project budgets, ensuring that capital expenditures are optimized and managed effectively.

  • Responsible for, track and evaluate project performance using KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and other metrics, adjusting plans and strategies as needed to achieve project goals.

  • Communicates program updates to functional management and executive leadership.

  • Conduct postmortem project evaluations to identify standard processes and areas to improve.

  • Coordinate activities in case of changes in project scope, schedule, costs, ensuring that stakeholders are informed/aligned with changes.

  • Lead sharing of standard methodologies and lessons learned among team members across organization to drive continuous improvement in DFMA/CAPEX integration projects.

  • Create, responsible, and prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management stakeholders, highlighting project status achievements challenges opportunities for improvement.

  • Research and evaluate new project management technologies/solutions that can enhance industrialization initiatives/optimize CAPEX investments.

  • Assist in the integration of innovative technologies and processes into existing systems, ensuring compatibility/seamless implementation.

  • Work closely with multi-functional teams (i.e., engineering/manufacturing/finance) to ensure effective communication/alignment of project requirements/expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a highly motivated, dynamic, and customer-centric project manager who thrives in a challenging and changing environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully influence people and teams at all levels without direct authority.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of industry-recognized project management methodologies

  • Proven success building employee engagement; creating, communicating, and building understanding of a shared vision.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage conflicts and ambiguity to drive clarity and deliver results.

  • Experience navigating self and teams in multi-functional environments and/or matrix organizations.

  • Effective meeting management and group facilitation skills.

Required qualifications:

  • B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred). MBA or MS in Engineering is preferred.

  • Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible engineering and project management experience.

  • Electromechanical experience is required.

  • Proven leadership in project and capital management.

  • Successful record of accomplishment in Lean manufacturing.

  • Able to act in multicultural environment and worldwide matrix organizations. Frequent international travel up to 30%.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in operations and/or in advanced manufacturing engineering.

  • PMP certification a plus.

Salary Range Information

$155,200.00 - $256,000.00 USD Annual
