Gibbs Service Center, Inc Avionics Installation Technician in San Diego, California
[[Gibbs Service Center, Inc. is seeking a 3 month seasonal worker to add as an avionics team member to our staff of highly skilled and motivated GA mechanics.
[[Qualifications [[ Minimum of five (4) years experience in the aviation avionics field.
[[ At least three (3) years General Aviation Light Aircraft (>12,500 lbs).
[[ High degree of expertise of aircraft electrical/avionics systems.
[[ Must demonstrate in-depth knowledge of applicable maintenance/technical manuals and publications, and special tools and test equipment.
[[ Familiar with operational capabilities and limitations of electrical/avionics systems.
[[ Able to perform aircraft maintenance to include inspection, operational test, repair, and modification of aircraft electrical/avionics systems and some mechanical.
[[ Must show the ability to install, inspect, test, adjust, or repair avionics equipment, such as radios, navigation, and auto pilot systems.
[[ Must be able to lift and maneuver 50 pounds.
[[ Must be able to pass DOT Drug/Alcohol test as required.
[[ Must be able to work in areas that require awkward posturing, bending, kneeling, squatting, to include working overhead.
[[ If required must be able to perform confined space activities.
[[Responsibilities [[ The Avionics Technician performs installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of all wiring, avionics systems and sub systems with little to no supervision.
[[ Installs, tests, troubleshoots, repairs, removes and replaces aircraft instruments and avionics components and/or systems installed in various aircraft airframes using hand tools, ground support equipment, test equipment, and technical documents.
[[ Applies comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting manufacturers manuals or similar documents.
