Description

Our client is looking for an accountant to join their team. The main duties are to manage the activities of the revenue cycle. Track and communicate key metrics and ensure timely collection of payments from clients. You will also prepare regular financial reports and ensure compliance with accounting principles and legislation.

Responsibilities

• Manage the accounts receivable team, ensuring they follow the correct accounting principles

• Handle the processing and organization of bills, records, and invoices, ensuring high quality at every stage

• Ensure timely collection of payments from clients and set regular weekly and monthly deadlines for payment processing

• Keep track of all payment transactions made by the company's clients

• Prepare and present financial reports at regular intervals, making forecasts on payment flow

• Stay updated on industry and legislative changes in accounting

• Ensure that all practices comply with the law

• Negotiate and settle non-payment disputes with clients efficiently

• Track and communicate key metric measures to the Account Manager

• Ensure the accounting team is trained and current with all tools and materials to effectively pursue collection of accounts receivables.

Requirements • Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or a similar capacity.

• Proficient in performing bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.

• Demonstrated experience with managing and maintaining the general ledger.

• Capable of preparing and posting journal entries accurately and efficiently.

• Experienced in executing month end close processes and procedures.

• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP accounting software.

• Knowledge of ASC 606 and its application in accounting practices.

• Ability to manage annual revenue and execute revenue accounting tasks.

• Must have an understanding of revenue accounting principles and practices.
