Job Summary and Qualifications

Extract and analyze reimbursement and cost data for the purpose of analyzing profitability by exam type, modality, facility, payor or other to be determined metrics. Gather and analyze data from various sources to develop scorecards/KPI dashboards/ad-hoc reports used to assess and provide actionable solutions to assist management in business decision making.

Job Responsibilities:

• Create reports and queries to gather data that will then be used to develop analytical models and reports to help management make informed business decisions to improve profitability and/or profit margins. These models and reports may include: nursing and technologist time reports, reimbursements by exam code, reimbursements of billable supply codes, revenue cycle timeliness and effectiveness, administrative scorecards, periodic charge reports, cash receipts, insurance denials tracking reports, accounts receivable aging, scheduling statistics or other operational reports as needed.

• Develop methodology to fairly allocate overhead costs across various exams and modalities;

• Develop charts, graphs, and numerical reports to articulate financial and statistical data.

• Monitor business processes and meet with the departments to suggest process changes to improve the quality/financial results

• Assists with data mining and analytical capability to support decision making and corporate strategy set by the executive team.

What qualifications you will need:

• Minimum of 2 years of related data querying, transforming, analyzing experience

• Advanced MS Excel, MS Access, MS Power Bi and CSV skills and experience

• Experience with ERP system.

• Prefer experience using python and SQL for custom queries and transformations when necessary.

• Experience using modern AI tools to facilitate the above.

• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, troubleshooting, and analytical skills

• Well organized and able to meet deadlines

• Ability to clearly present and communicate financial and operational information to users at all levels in the organization

• Prefer healthcare experience

• Prefer 2 years of cost accounting or similar experience.

• Bachelor’s degree required with a preference in: Business, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science or Information System
