    JOB SUMMARY

Provides quality surveying review and technical information along with customer service to professional surveyors, the public and government agencies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Six (6) years of experience in a closely related field to these duties; OR an equivalent combination of relatededucation and experience.A valid Driver’s License issued by the State of Utah is required

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 Creates and maintains graphical files and tabular data necessary for Monument Reference Plats (MRPs),Area Reference Plats (ARPs), and Record Surveys on the agency's website. Prepares AutoCAD drawings of boundary surveys, profiles, topographical, cross-sections, and plats andmaps Coordinates the update of records and documents to support GIS applications on the agency's website. Verifies the accuracy of coordinate information submitted for monument permits and resolves errors prior toissuance of permit. Assists the public and governmental agencies in identifying their surveying and recordation needs. Issues permits and collects applicable agency fees. Abstracts documents to identify ownership of property, location of easements and rights-of-way, andidentify boundary conflicts within a chain of title. Assists in determining section’s operational needs and prepares purchase requests. Prepares, drafts, locates, and lays out survey drawings and crime scene exhibits. Assists in the gathering of survey information and analysis of data to facilitate the preparation or completionof work orders. Educates and trains various groups and in the available functions of the Recordation and PublicInformation Section.
