JOB SUMMARYPerforms semi-technical laboratory and research procedures under the general supervision of senior laboratory personnel. Research in Bettini Lab is focused on T cell mediated autoimmune diabetes (Type 1 Diabetes).The Lab Aide will assist in maintaining the laboratory under the guidance and supervision of the Principle Investigator, as well as assisting with basic research experiments including molecular biology, tissue culture and tissue processing. A major component of this position will include maintenance, breeding, and genotyping of experimental mice. The ideal applicant should be self-motivated and have good record keeping and time management skills.
