Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Status: Part-time
Hours: Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. May teach 1-2 weeks per semester, depending on program need.
Pay / Hourly: $28.30 - 42.94 DOE
SUMMARY
Mountainland Technical College (MTECH), in partnership with AGC of Utah, provides technical education to construction workers seeking to advance in their field through skilled apprenticeship programs. As a Form Builder Carpenter Instructor, you will help students develop expertise in rough framing, vertical and horizontal formwork, reinforcing concrete and concrete forming systems. FORM BUILDER CARPENTER INSTRUCTOR BENEFITS

FORM BUILDER CARPENTER INSTRUCTOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Teach engaging lessons, using hands-on, skill-based competency training to the greatest extent possible.
Develop and/or maintain lesson plans for classroom and lab activities.
Manages, and supervises students in the classroom and on the practical floor.
Evaluate instruction/learning by means of written, oral practical and performance tests.
Maintains student-oriented approach, and desirable classroom conditions. Check equipment daily for hazards, ensuring it is maintained and properly repaired.
Maintains accurate and current reports and records regarding student accountability, attendance, and performance.
FORM BUILDER CARPENTER INSTRUCTOR QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Minimum 5 years of journeyman-level experience as Form Builder Carpenter required, 10+ years preferred.
Leadership/foreman experience, strongly preferred.
Must have extensive expertise in rough framing, vertical and horizontal formwork, reinforcing concrete, and various concrete forming systems; must have familiarity with gang forms, slabs, columns, decks, abutments, culverts, and related aspects is essential.
Experience with commercial construction projects and skill in understanding plans, profiles, and grades is required.
Must know and adhere to construction safety procedures and OSHA standards.
Skill in use of Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and PDF applications.
