Job Title: Civil EngineerJob Description

A leading civil engineering firm specializing in private land development projects seeks a Civil Engineer or Project Engineer to manage plan production and design from conception through completion on projects of up to 3 acres in scope. The ideal candidate must be proficient in drainage and stormwater reports, utility master plans, and drafting in AutoCAD Civil 3D. The engineer will also oversee the design work of 3-5 junior engineers. A P.E. or equivalent experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage plan production and design of private land development projects from conception to completion.

• Produce and analyze drainage and stormwater reports.

• Draft and create utility master plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

• Oversee the design work of 3-5 junior engineers.

• Engage in municipal engineering projects as needed.

• Demonstrate project management skills to ensure timely and successful project completion.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D

• Strong understanding of drainage and stormwater report analysis

• Experience with utility master plans

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering

• P.E. strongly preferred or equivalent experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Project management skills

• Ability to manage and mentor junior engineers

• Experience in municipal engineering projects

Work Environment

The work schedule is from 8 am to 5 pm, with flexibility of plus or minus one hour for start and end times. The role requires being in the office 5 days a week. The firm has a close-knit team of 15-20 people, fostering strong professional relationships. The leadership team regularly interacts with and mentors staff at all levels, offering opportunities for professional growth and development. The firm offers a balanced work-life environment with hourly straight time, comp time, and occasional overtime pay. Employees accrue PTO and receive holiday time, with specific days off including New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Pioneer Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve (4 hours), and New Year's Eve (4 hours).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $115000.00/hr.
