Job Description: The Production Supervisor Frozen Meal Line 2nd shift directs all departmental and shift personnel to comply with all production requirements, complying with quality and safety per company policy and procedures. They monitor the assembly of frozen meals and/or packaging components using a conveyor operation, meeting all set standards of efficiency, quantity, quality, and regulatory requirements. The Production Supervisor is also responsible for the startup and shutdown of lines daily. The individual in this role must oversee product quality and inform QC of any deviations from the established standard.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Direct and supervise activities of operators, and all production personnel.
  • Schedule work assignments
  • Complete reports for production numbers, "downtime", attendance, overtime, and quality checks and submit to the Production Manager
  • Train, coach, and review the performance of shift employees. Work with HR for employee discipline issues, termination, and recruitment
  • Obtain production orders for their shift
  • Take measures to complete each order
  • Ensure the safety conditions in the department (Machine guards, complying with LOTO, Prevent unsafe acts)
  • Ensure all product codes are correct
  • Follow production reports, including the operators and leads
  • Makes decisions with the quality department regarding products put on hold due to wrong specifications
  • Comply with the Production standards, efficiency, waste, overweight, pounds-per-man hour
  • Share all production information from the current shift with the supervisor of the next shift
  • Makes sure that the product complies with the Total Quality standards
  • Run production reports
  • Enforce all company policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Attend all scheduled meetings
  • Ensure departmental budgets are met
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
