Job Summary: Provide a wide range of adoption education and intake services to prospective foster and adoptive clients. Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree preferred; High School Diploma and 5+ years related experience OR Associate's Degree and 2+ years of related experience. Professional and/or personal experience with foster care or adoption preferred. Strong communication skills. Ability to work with diverse populations and advocate for all people we serve regardless of race, color, ethnicity, religion, disability, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work remotely or in office, with occasional in-person requirements in Minnesota. Ability to think critically, make independent decisions, maintain informational organization and structure. Must have valid driver's license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle and be insurable under agency policy. Job Duties: Respond to all requests for information from prospective foster and adoptive clients with ethical, transparent, engaging and free information. Lead presentations for prospective clients, partner agencies and key stakeholders through individual, group/public in-person and online information meetings. Conduct thorough screening of prospective foster and adoptive clients to assess and advise on program eligibility. Represent the Foster Care and Adoption programs of CH/LSS to prospective clients and agency partners through outreach events throughout Minnesota, and occasionally throughout the U.S. Maintain optimized data collection through Adoption CRM Database. Other duties as assigned.
