Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
Employees will work in a union facility on the 3rd shift. Shift times are Monday to Friday from 11:00pm to 7:00am, or Sunday to Thursday from 11:00pm to 7:00am. You must have at least 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
Responsibilities
Adjust or repair packaging equipment.
Repair or replace defective equipment and parts using hand and power tools.
Perform routine preventative maintenance on all equipment.
Inspect drives, motors, and belts; check fluid levels; replace filters and perform other maintenance tasks while keeping all activities documented.
Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair/owner manuals, engineering specifications, and parts catalogs as necessary.
Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
Work with outside contractors and plant operations to ensure all maintenance is completed in a safe and efficient manner.
Essential Skills
Must have electrical knowledge and ability to test R&R 110-480v electric motors, circuits, and switches.
Knowledge of LOTO (Lock out Tag out) and Emergency Response Procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
General understanding of electrical systems and controls is a plus.
Good interpersonal skills are a must.
Higher pay rate if proof of certain certifications and licenses is provided.

Work in a dairy manufacturing food plant. The environment includes working with processing equipment and performing tasks related to preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs, as well as some project work.
