What You'll Do as a Framing Carpenter:
- Read blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions
- Shape or cut materials to specified measurements
- Lift and carry heavy objects, such as framing lumber, sheets of plywood, and other building materials
- Perform a variety of production tasks on job sites, including job site clean-up and fixture replacement
- Utilize company technology to update job information and photos
- Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace
- Install structures or fixtures, such as roof trusses, plywood sheeting, windows, doors, framing, headers, and blocking using carpenters' hand and power tools
- Work efficiently 8+ feet above the ground
- Work mainly outdoors, in unconditioned spaces, year round
What it takes (requirements):
- 5+ years in residential construction
- Reliable transportation
- Own tools
- Current, valid Driver's License
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Class E Driver's License within 30 days
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
